Wave of Light Remembrance Ceremony

October 15th, 7pm

Tuesday, October 15th is the annual global observance called "Wave of Light" that honors and remembers babies who have died during pregnancy, childbirth, or infancy.

If you have experienced this loss and would like to participate in Wave of Light, our Bereavement Department will be offering a candle lighting ceremony at 7pm at Talbot Hospice. Please register using the button above so that we may plan accordingly.

Talbot Hospice is committed to helping our community heal from grief and loss.   There are losses in our world not supported in the same way as others.  Our concern is for families who have suffered the “loss of a child through stillbirth, miscarriage, SIDS, or any other cause at any point during pregnancy or infancy.  Research shows that approximately 30% of pregnancies end in miscarriage, but often it is a loss not spoken of.

Different organizations are attempting to change the reality of silent suffering for people to get the support they need to heal from a very real and painful loss for many.  The Mid-Shore Area suffers from a lack of support services for those who have had infant and perinatal loss.  Talbot Hospice is one of those groups trying to break through the silence and be a guide along this specific grief journey.

For more information or support, please call our Bereavement Department at 410-822-6681 x116
