Spirituality

Spirituality at Talbot Hospice

Spirituality addresses the meaning of life …the contentment with life. Spirituality is a part of each person’s being.  At the end of life it is important to understand the impact that a life has had on those we love and how this life has made a difference.  Spiritual care is anything we say or do that helps enrich and comfort a person. At the end of life, it is important for us to find meaning in dying through grieving. Talbot Hospice is non-denominational and our Chaplain assists with spiritual and emotional guidance during this journey based on the patient's desire. We seek to make patients and their family members feel at ease during this difficult time.

TALK TO OUR CHAPLAIN

The Hospice Chaplain is available to talk with patients and their families at any point. All hospice patients, family members and friends are offered the spiritual care services provided by the Hospice Chaplain. The chaplain schedules visits on an individual basis and per family request and collaborates in partnership with the patient and family’s minister, rabbi, priest, pastor or spiritual advisor supplementing his or her role if desired.
