Our parents passed just 5.5 months apart in 2023. Although our Dad's passing was expected with his progressive illness, our Mom's was totally not expected, in some ways harder than Dad's. We all miss them both every day. We could not have done it all without Talbot Hospice! The aides and nurses were wonderful, supportive, and educated us with information we are able to share with others facing the same situation. I attribute much of this to being in a smaller community like Easton/Talbot County. This picture is from their 70th wedding anniversary party in 2021.
Please trust the process with hospice. They have the expertise to care for your loved one. We found it best to work with them, to do what we could to care for our parents in conjunction with the hospice experts. Don't give up on your abilities to help care for your loved one.
Those who answered the phone when my sister and I had questions or concerns were awesome! Sometimes they could answer our questions or they expeditiously had someone contact us. Our aide Christy was wonderful with both my parents.
