Practical Help

Talbot Hospice lends equipment at no charge to residents of Talbot County. Walkers, wheelchairs, hospital beds, commodes, canes, crutches, shower chairs and more can be borrowed from the Foundation. We work with hospital case managers, discharge planners and facility social workers to ensure that everything needed for safety and comfort at home is in place. If you should need to borrow medical equipment please call 410-822-6681 and speak to our receptionist.
Talbot Hospice Volunteers are well-trained and screened. They make pre-scheduled visits to caregivers and patients-offering respite care and gentle helping hands. Help can be tailored to household tasks, transportation, shopping, errand-running or companionship for the patient.
