Paying for Hospice Care

How is hospice care paid for?

All supportive programs and services, (with the exception of a sliding fee scale in our 6 bed residential Hospice House on Cynwood Drive in Easton) of the Talbot Hospice Foundation are provided without charge through the generous support of our community. Hospice care and services are available to anyone in Talbot County facing end-of-life issues regardless of age, religious belief, race, insurance coverage or ability to pay.

The medical costs associated with Shore Home Care Hospice care are paid through Medicare and private insurance plans

The  Talbot Hospice Foundation receives no insurance reimbursement from Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance.

To determine eligibility for hospice, services and to enroll in the hospice program, an individual, a member of his or her family, or the individual’s physician can contact our medical partner, Shore Home Care Hospice.
