The Guthrie Society

The Guthrie Society

The Guthrie Society, in honor of Dr. Eugene “Buck” Guthrie, a founder of Talbot Hospice, is an exciting way to support the Foundation. Every fiscal year (July 1- June 30), donors who give $1,000 or more will be recognized and appreciated. The donors exemplify and honor Dr. Guthrie’s commitment to Talbot Hospice’s mission and his passion for making a difference in the end-of-life experience for local citizens.

“Dr. Guthrie has been a steadfast leader of Talbot Hospice over the years,” said Julie Crocker, Executive Director, “and it is fitting that we name this distinguished group of donors after him.” Today, Dr. Guthrie serves on the Board of Directors as a Director Emeritus.

“Hospice is a profound mission that helps patients and families at a most vulnerable time. I am proud to be associated with the community of volunteers, donors and professionals who strive to meet the end-of-life needs of our community,” said Dr. Guthrie.
