Festival of Trees 2011
such a spectacular success!
Everyone loves the Festival of Trees and it has become a legend in Talbot County. For the past 25 years, the Festival of Trees has kick-started the holiday season while providing the Talbot Hospice Foundation with a wonderful venue in which to educate the community about hospice. The Friends of Hospice, who oversee the Festival of Trees contribute over 10% to the Talbot Hospice operating budget and have donated over 2.5 million dollars to the Foundation since its inception.The 2011 Festival of Trees theme is Holiday Traditions Around The Globe.
Opening on Thanksgiving weekend, November 25, 2011 and running through November 29, 2011, the events will be held at The Tidewater Inn and in various venues throughout Easton. Mrs. Patty Fox and Mrs. Sarah Keating are the Chair and Co-Chair of the 2011 Festival.
Special events will include: The Preview Gala, Homes Tour, Dinner at the Crab Claw Restaurant, Santa’s Got a Brand New Bag, the Fun/Run Walk in conjunction with the YMCA, Holiday Bingo, Candy Cane Lane and the popular Daddy-Daughter Dance and Mother-Son Dance. Two raffles this year include one from Westphal Jewelers of Easton, featuring a beautiful14 kt. yellow gold one-of-a-kind necklace and new this year, a wine raffle-A Harvest of International Wines-sponsored by Don Ayers and Vernon Nily.
