Care for the Caregiver
Care for the Caregiver
When a loved one is facing a serious illness, the caregiver may feel overwhelmed as they navigate through the challenges of everyday life. Simple tasks may become complex. Talbot Hospice offers a variety of programs and support groups.
From practical information, to groups which acknowledge the myriad of new feelings, Talbot Hospice can help. Hospice is often associated with the very end of life, yet our philosophy includes providing supportive services for families throughout, and after, the illness.
To this end, we offer various support groups, facilitated by professionals. Groups are offered without charge to all residents of Talbot county. It is not required that a loved one be a hospice patient, as support is offered to anyone that has suffered a loss.
Participants support each other by sharing information on how they cope, what helps and what doesn’t; and more importantly, by just being there, just listening, understanding and accepting the wide range of emotions and reactions that each person may experience.
