Survivors of Suicide (SOS)
Those who experience the death of a loved one by suicide often find the path through shock and grief to be painful, confusing and lonely. Survivors often struggle with shame and guilt and may not know anyone who has been through this experience. Friends and family, who are suffering themselves, often are not able to give the needed comfort and understanding. Coping with the death of a loved one by suicide is one of the most agonizing experiences that one may encounter. The Survivors of Suicide Group provides the opportunity for participants to share and hear from others who have had similar experiences. Group members find a supportive atmosphere of validation and acceptance where confidentiality is highly valued. From 6:30 to 8:00 pm at Talbot Hospice House.
Meetings February 27, March 12 and 26, 2012
